Mocean started his voice over career right out of college at a local alternative rock station in Eugene, Oregon. At KNRQ, Mocean helmed the weekday PM shift and produced and voiced countless radio spots for local advertisers. From there he branched out to the Portland market where he tried his hand in everything from television commercials to corporate training videos to interactive educational programs.
After making the move to LA he started training with the legendary Leigh Gilbert, who’s first words of wisdom to Mocean were, “We’re going to beat the radio out of you.” After a year and a half of valuable instruction from Ms. Gilbert, Mocean cut a demo and Leigh walked it into the William Morris Agency. Based on his talent showcased in the demo, the major agency took him on.
In the short time he has been with the William Morris Agency, now William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, Mocean has recorded spots for Toyota, Albertsons, Walmart, Shop N’ Save, Sprint, Dow, Cellular One, Michigan Lottery, Can Am, Washington Mutual, Nintendo DS, Subway, Madden NFL 07, 09 and 10, Qwest Communications, Sky Caddie, Michelob, Mini Cooper, The Hollywood Bowl, Lunchables, American Airlines and was the voice of Nissan from 2007 to 2009. He has narrated numerous documentary series including “The Alaska Experiment” and “Discovery Project Earth” for the Discovery Channel, the celebrity news show “Hollywood Uncensored”, and currently narrates “It’s Me or the Dog” for Animal Planet and “World’s Strictest Parents” for MTV.
